Annual Book Sale and
Continuous
Sale
The annual
Book Sale at the Main Library includes books, magazines, audio
tapes, video tapes, reference volumes discarded from the library
or donated by the public. The mini book sale is a continuing
sale of discarded books. Sale items are located on the east side
of the first floor at the Main Library . Book Sale monies are
used to fund BCLA projects.
Purpose of the Library
Associates
1. Foster
closer relations between the library and local citizens.
2. Focus attention on library facilities, resources and services.
3. Aid in the provision of materials.
4. Solicit, receive and administer bequests and gifts to the library.
Donations to BCPL
Donations
are Tax Deductible. Checks should be payable to Bartholomew County
Library Associates.

Memorial Gifts
Memorial
gifts and donations in honor of individuals can be made to Bartholomew
County Library Associates. Donations can be designated for the
purchase of books, equipment, or other resource materials.
Checks can be mailed to Bartholomew County Public Library / 536
Fifth Street / Columbus IN 47201. Please include all memorial
donation information, so that family members can be contacted.
Gifts are tax deductible. Persons interested in making a gift
to the library, either memorial or non-memorial, can contact

Children's
Guest Author Visit
The Library
Associates hosted a children's author or illustrator each spring
from 1981-2005. Visiting authors presented programs about their
books and writing experiences during sessions at the Main Library
and in local elementary schools. Following each program at the
library, the author autographed books for children and adults.
