Helen Finke Memorial Children's Award Books Collection

At the time of her death in 1995, memorial funds were designated for use at the Hope Branch Library's new building which was in the design phase. In 1998 these funds created a non-circulating collection of books which have been awarded the Caldecott Medal for best illustrated children's book published in the United States each year. Annually each new winning book is purchased for the collection with funds remaining in the memorial.
