Thursday, June 18, 2009 7:00 pm Red Room Anne Ryder writes, "The content is a bit more personal in nature. Five years after leaving the anchor/reporter desk and stepping away from the fast lane, this is my take on living out some of the lessons I learned from all those years of covering "Hope to Tell" stories, including the Mother Teresa story. Many of the lessons of finding strength, peace and connection through shared experience (and service) have come home to roost in a profoundly personal way after a medical emergency and personal loss. Learning to raise Monarch butterflies with my daughter has been enlightening in its metaphor in letting go of grief and finding joy in simple things." |
Anne Ryder, the first
BCPL Distinguished Speaker in 2004, will return to BCPL in June. ![]() |
